How to Make a Shirt with the Mickey Balloon SVG

I have a Cricut so I will be showing you how to use the SVG file to make a shirt in Cricut Design Space. If you have a Silhouette you will be using Silhouette Studio and things will look different.
Supplies Needed
- shirt
- Mickey Balloons SVG
- Cricut
- Infusible Ink or Iron-on vinyl
- Cricut EasyPress
- butcher paper
Tutorial
Start by uploading the SVG to Cricut Design Space. Then adjust the size of the image. If you want to change the color of the balloons so that you can cut out of one material then do that if you need to. I think it also helps to change the color to the colors that you’re actually going to use so that when you’re loading the mats into the machine nothing gets confused.

Now you are going to click the Make button. Design Space will then prompt you to select how you are loading your material into the machine and the mat size if you’re using one.

At this point you will see the design divided onto each of the cutting mats. SUPER IMPORTANT!!! You need to mirror your design. And you need to do this for each of the mats. So make sure you click on each mat on the left hand side and click the mirror button for each.

Then select your material and Design Space will walk you through loading and starting the cut.

Put the Infusible ink onto the mat with the colorful side facing up. Load it into your machine and press the Go button.

Once the material has been cut unload it and peel it off of the mat. I like to flip my mat upside down and peel the materials away. This helps the infusible ink transfer sheet not to curl as much.

Weed (remove) the infusible ink material that’s not part of your design.

Place the transfer sheets onto your shirt. Then place the butcher paper on top of it.

Heat the Cricut Easypress to the recommended heat setting. For infusible ink the Cricut Heat Guide says 385 degrees Fahrenheit for 40 seconds.

Carefully peel the transfer sheets off when you’re done.
